As for your question, I'm not sure what you mean. In those days when people had no documents, there was not one fixed version of people's surnames. They were used in a number of variants with different spellings, different endings, there could be separate feminine (different for wives and daughters) and diminutive forms (Uryszek could be a diminutive of Urych). So far I have found 8 different versions of my family name in the 18th & 19th century records. So one cannot talk about correctness as there were no standards or criteria.
Another thing is that names were often distorted or confused with similar ones - here we have the bride named Korzec but in your headline it's Korczuk and both are variants of the same name. There was also a phenomenon of double, sometimes even triple surnames/nicknames for the same person. This was discussed several times in this forum (podwójne nazwiska).
